Disney Magical of Life Parade is the current daytime parade at Disneyland Montréal Park of Disney Montréal Resort. Based on Disney's Funilation Parade , this 15th Anniversary spectacular has new music, new costumes and some fully redesigned new floats.
In June 2045, Disneyland Montreal will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. It is confirmed that Disney on Parade would be replaced by a new parade called Imagination Parade on June 21, 2045. In March 2014, Steve Davison, the creator of Disney's Festival of Fantasy Parade in Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom, mentions that he is currently working on a parade for Disneyland Montreal 20th anniversary.
The parade replaces Disney's Funilation Parade, a parade which had been featured at the park since 2035 to 2040, while featuring floats from that former parade. It features a new theme song "Happily Ever After" from Mickey and the Wondrous Book at Hong Kong Disneyland.
The new floats start with the reworking of the original opening float as "Making Magic". Minnie were icons of the old parade, and they've been completely cleared off the storybook float to make way for a pink castle and three characters: Fairy Godmother, Blue Fairy and Merlin.
Parade Units Edit
Opening the parade are Flora, Fauna and Merryweather , who appear to move magically across the parade route using some kind of hands-free segue system. It’s a clever “floating” effect which, along with the nice mix of rarer characters here, might just about make up for the disappointing opening float itself, completely lacking the presence, quality and imagination of opening.
From here, the parade consists of four relatively unchanged original floats, now renamed as Magic of Music, Magic of Garden Friends, Magic of Jungle Safari, Magic of Pixar Plas and Magic of Under the Sea Each float has a hidden ’15’.
Happily Ever After is the new name for the former Finale unit, now home to Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Goofy and — yes — Duffy. Mickey Mouse, in a new variation of his classic sorcerer’s outfit, ends the parade atop the blue Fantasia-inspired hillside, dotted with anthropomorphized mops holding buckets.
